Associate / Second Shooter
Professional, experienced, easy going. Did more than 100 weddings as lead and second.
Have my own equipment - two FF cameras, prime lenses, and Speedlight. In love with North Shore MA.
Experience
Photography in general: about 15 years
Wedding photography: 9+ years
I started doing wedding photography in 2016, from the very beginning as a lead self-employed photog. Back then I was getting my clients from Thumbtack, and then from WeddingWire. As of 2025, I did it ~100 times as a lead and 10+ times as a second shooter.

About me
I’m 42, but it feels more like 30-something. Easy-going and fun, but reliable and self-contained. Photography is my passion. I’m not lazy, but always in search of new ways to work smarter, not harder. English is my second language, but I’ve been here, in the States, for more than 10 years now so it’s not a biggie.
Motivation/Compensation
As I mentioned above, I did 100+ weddings so building my portfolio is not the case. Portrait and event photography is my only job, so I aim to have as many booked weekends as possible. Unfortunately, I’m just terrible at sales and marketing and do not always have enough of my own bookings. So here is the order of my priorities: own bookings -> associate jobs -> second shootings. So if I can’t find anything on my own, I do associate/second shooting. Because that’s what I do for a living.
Simple math says that a 1-hour family session is more profitable and easier for me than an 8-hour wedding as a second shooter if rates are too low. But I like weddings, and I’m good at it. So I will be more than happy to fill this associate or second shooter job if “the price is right”, i.e. $80+ for the second, and $120+ for the associate.
P.S. I can go lower if it’s a North Shore MA wedding, or if there is anything super special about this wedding - theme, venue, etc.
Style/Technique/Abilities
I move a lot. I change angles, lenses, and distances a lot. As one of my frequent leads says, “please, do your ninja thing”. Candids > posing. Leaning toward photojournalism. I can be as creative as possible or follow your lead.
Getting ready: I’m absolutely comfortable with boys AND girls getting ready, I can do all the details (shoes, rings, flowers, flatlays), I’ll do a lot of candids or I can “stage” these candids.
First look: I can help with finding/scouting a location, I can shoot on my own from an alternative angle, or I can be focused on a particular task (groom’s or bride’s reaction, or wide angle, etc.).
Ceremony: Alternate angle, guests’ reactions, “walking down the aisle” part. Or I can push video guys out of the lead’s way.
Cocktail hour/Reception: Tables, centerpieces, decorations, gift boxes, and seating charts. Food, drinks. Smiling and chatting guests. And I’m so in love with partying people, especially if there is an open bar.
